A Catholic Married Priest of the Roman Tradition I was ordained 40 years ago as a priest of the Augustinian Order of the Midwest Province. I graduated with a degree in Philosophy from Villanova University in PA.I got my Theology Degree from the Facultad Teologica Augustiniana in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

After my Ordination in 1967, I was sent as a missionary to Monterrico, Peru, South America where I served as pastor for 5 years. I returned to the USA in 1972. In 1975 I officially resigned as an Augustinian and subsequently I was released from my vows.

In 1975 I married my wife, Patricia. We have been married for 32 years. We have two sons, Edward Paul
(30) and Timothy Martin (28).

During the years of our marriage, we have worked with Pre-Marriage Ministry in our parish. I have also been a Lector, Eucharistic Minister, member of the Liturgy Committee, Finance Committee, Building Committee and RCI Program.

From the years 1976 to 2004, I was the Coordinator of Human Services for the Village of Arlington Heights, Illinios. My wife and I both retired in 2004. In the last three years, we have spent the months of January – March in Chulucanas, Peru doing volunteer work for the Church. We teach a course in Sacred Scripture, work with couples, a pre-marriage program and do
Social Work.

Although according to the laws of the Roman Catholic Church I am still considered a priest, any services I provide are not officially accepted by the Church due to the fact that I am married.

During these years I have officiated at Christian Funerals, Baptisms, Anointing of the Sick, and Weddings.
I have officiated at weddings for Catholics as well as couples of many other denominations. My emphasis is on officiating at a ceremony that is Faith-filled, spiritual, and for two people committed to each other for the rest of their lives.

What I offer:

Pre-marriage program with my wife and I (if desired) A ceremony designed to fit the couples’ needs Guidance and cooperation in designing the ceremony A God-centered ceremony A bilingual/Spanish ceremony A Rehearsal (if desired) A service in a place of your choosing (outside, home, banquet hall)

My philosophy is that God has created all of us to be in relationship with all creation. I firmly believe that there is only one God and there are many ways to encounter God. I feel that I am called to help people discover their God however they define that God to be.

I am not here to pass judgement but to encourage people to be the best they can and find fulfillment in their lives.
